Reece M. McGovern

Reece M. McGovern concentrates his practice on representing public boards of education and private schools throughout New Jersey.

Reece provides counsel to clients on a range of issues in school law, including the Open Public Records Act, board of education policy interpretation, labor and employment, and student disciplinary matters.

Upon graduating law school Reece was employed as a Judicial Law Clerk for the Honorable Rochelle Gizinski in the New Jersey Superior Court, Ocean County Criminal Division. During law school, Reece interned for the Honorable Eric L. Frank in the Eastern District of Pennsylvania United States Bankruptcy Court. He also worked as an appellate review intern with the EEOC and as an intern with the Montgomery County Public Defender.

Reece is a cum laude graduate of Drexel University Law School, where he was the Research and Production Editor on the Drexel Law Review executive board. While working on the Law Review, Reece published his student note, “In their Absence We Remain, Embracing the Victims of Parental Incarceration,” 13 Drexel L. Rev. 553 (2021).

Reece is a member of the bar of the State of New Jersey.
